1. Acceptance

By using Mathetes.ai, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the service.

2. The Service

Mathetes.ai provides KJV Bible reading (always free), study tools, community chat, AI-powered study assistance, and course material. Some features require a paid subscription.

3. Bible Reading Is Free

Reading the King James Version Bible on Mathetes.ai is free, requires no account, and will remain free. The Bible is not monetized. Ever.

4. Accounts

  • You must be at least 13 years old to create an account
  • You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account
  • You may not use the service for any unlawful purpose
  • One account per person

5. Community Guidelines

When using chat and community features:

  • Be respectful — disagree graciously, as Christ would have us do
  • No spam, harassment, threats, or hate speech
  • No sharing of illegal, obscene, or harmful content
  • No impersonation of others
  • We may remove content or suspend accounts that violate these guidelines

6. User Content

You retain ownership of content you create (notes, highlights, chat messages). By posting in community channels, you grant Mathetes.ai a license to display that content to other users of the service.

7. Subscriptions & Payments

  • Premium subscriptions are billed monthly or annually via Stripe
  • You can cancel at any time — access continues until the end of the billing period
  • Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis
  • Prices may change with 30 days' notice to existing subscribers

8. AI Features

AI study tools are provided for educational assistance. AI responses are not a substitute for personal Bible study, pastoral counsel, or theological education. AI may occasionally produce inaccurate information — always verify against Scripture.

9. Intellectual Property

  • The King James Version Bible text is in the public domain
  • Strong's Concordance data is in the public domain
  • Course content, UI design, and platform code are the property of Mathetes.ai
  • Public domain images are attributed to their sources where known

10. Limitation of Liability

Mathetes.ai is provided "as is." We do our best to keep the service available and accurate, but we cannot guarantee uninterrupted access. We are not liable for any damages arising from your use of the service.

11. Changes

We may update these terms. Material changes will be communicated to registered users by email. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance.
